Joy grew up in a pastor's home on the West Coast and received Christ as a second grader. When she was a teenager, God called her family to serve as missionaries in the country of Nicaragua for five years. God used their time on the mission field to develop within her a desire to serve the Lord with her life.
Upon her family's return to the United States, she attended and graduated from Hyles-Anderson College. Joy has been serving in the church office and in various ministries of Bailey's Grove Baptist Church since June of 2022.
