Alberto Velazquez was eleven months old when he started attending church. His family was reached through the bus ministry of First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. At the age of four, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. In a school revival during his senior year, he surrendered his life to preach.
After graduating from high school, he attended Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, he met his beautiful wife, Jacqueline. He graduated in 2004, receiving a Pastoral Theology degree. That same year, he was hired at First Baptist Church as the Spanish youth pastor while working on his master’s degree and soon after married. He graduated in 2006, with his master’s degree.
He continued serving as the Spanish youth pastor for eight years. He knew his calling was to pastor a church. In October of 2011, the Lord moved him and his family to North Carolina to start a Spanish church. In December of 2020, he started filling the pulpit of Bailey’s Grove Spanish Department and shortly after became the official Spanish pastor. He continues to serve the Lord in both ministries.
